So yesterday I had to put together a poster board for a presentation in Leadership. I am convinced that Microsoft Office Word 2003 and my printer were working together to give me the hardest time possible. First, and this is 100% my fault, I waited till the day before presentation to do this, so that sucks. Second, when I was putting together an outline, the margins would change every time I tried to add a new bullet point of add a new topic. Seriously, it came to the point where I was so frustrated that I was frantically looking for a durable object to throw (it's probably a good thing that I didn't find anything). I basically ended up pressing random buttons until the problem fixed itself. Second, I was out of glue sticks to put the material on the board with, so I had to try Elmer's school glue,(I could have probably scraped the adhesive off of post-it notes and it would have worked better)... It soaked the page I used it on, so i resorted to using one-sided tape wrapped around to stick things to my board. My board looked hideous. Third, we needed a handout to distribute to the class, so I get the handout finished, and the printer decides to run out of ink AND jam. So I sat there, angrily glaring at the printer for like 10 minutes before I fixed the problem. So what was supposed to take only an hour or so ended up taking 3 hours. And to top it off, my mind blanked when i got up to present, so my board looks horrible, and my presentation was sloppy.
So that's my rant for today, peace out.
